DECOLORISATION OF BATIK WASTE WATER BY Marasmiellus palmivorus USING MODIFIED FIXED BED REACTOR

Batik waste water is dominated by textile dyes that are recalcitrant, hydrophobic, and molecular complexes. Azo, Nitroso, Azine, Thiazolesare among synthetic used in batik industry. One of the well known white root fungus species able to degrade such Marasmiellus palmivorus. It has ability produce various enzymes as manganese peroxidase, lignin peroxidase laccase. Laccase (EC 1.10.3.2) catalyzes wide variety aromatic hydrogen oxidation reduction oxygen water. This research was conducted using two types azo dye coloring agents, namely Levafix blue E-RA gran Telon Red. study performed optimized age Solid State Fermentation (SSF), which then inserted into a modified fixed bed reactor for 4 hours. Reduction color observed every 15 minutes substrate growth sawdust. The experiments demonstrated crude enzyme Marasmiellus- SSF had activity 97.8 U/L ABTS reagent at 22-day bag log incubation. total protein content, measured Bradford reagent, peaked 154 mg/L on 10th day.
